The persistent weak layer that has been an issue all season is still active. On north and northeast aspects this layer was anywhere from the ground to about 35 to 45cm above ground. Riding conditions are especially tricky off trial as the snow is thin and lacking any cohesive structure.

Yesterdays storm and high winds produced a new layer of snow across much of the SW Uintahs. Along out route we noticed multiple (artificial) cracks(ing) and a natural avalanche within this layer.
