Comments
It's nice to get out, but we didn't find great riding or skiing conditions despite the angry inch of new snow that fell overnight. The translucent rime-crust from earlier in the week is widespread in open areas, thickest in wind exposed upper elevation terrain, but still found in more sheltered terrain and in the forest. We did notice some wind drifting but did not find any significant fresh drifts..
The snow is still quite soft and sugary everywhere, and we could easily stick our ski poles through it to the ground in most places.
