Comments
Cruised PC ridgeline today above the Monitors, Radar Love, No Name. No surprises as collapses and cracking continues. We remotely triggered an avalanche from lower-angled terrain while descending the gentle ridge separating No Name and No No Name (we called it "Non Name") - this was submitted in a separate avalanche observation. What was worthwhile for us was this occurred at 9200' which is in the mid-elevation band of the danger rose for the Salt Lake mountains. After descending the bed surface, we ascended a lower-angled, E-facing slope (~25 degrees) and got a loud collapse and crack, but the slope didn't slide as it wasn't steep enough. Had this slope been steeper, it would have also easily slid.
