Snow depths ranged from 18-24" with some wind loaded areas approaching 30" while skiing up Ant Knolls shoulder.
Top of snowpack was variable with some areas of 1" wind crusts on top while other areas had 8-10" of soft unaffected pow on top.
The PWL we found in our pitt was buried down 14" on top of 10-12" of heavily faceted snow.
dug a quick pit that resulted an ECTP18 on E\NE aspect on a 25 slope at 9200 ft
When we finally get some real snow this areas is gonna be an issue like much of the Wasatch. Also consistently found evidence of some slab formation though it did not seem to be well connected across the slope/shoulder.
Turns down were variable but decent and was supportable with no collapsing or cracking observed slope angle was 28-32. Seemed like biggest risk now at least for this area is landsharks. Cathing vegetation or a random shark is very possible especially if you are ripping. I'd definitely ski defensively in this area for now
