Comments
I found 5 inches of new light snow up high today. Throughout the day I was getting the soft slab that has formed on top of the facets from our dry spell to collapse as I skinned on both the ridge line and back up north slopes. The collapses are propagating as much as 10 meters in radius but absolutely no movement. SE facing cornices were sensitive but resistant. The snow is very thin out there and in rocky areas there just isn't enough snow to slide.
