Comments
I traversed the PC Ridgeline to check out the new snow and see if it was overloading the pre-existing facets. There was lots of evidence of wind loading on all northerly slopes. I got three large collapses on N facing 9500'+. In test pits I found propagation on the new snow/facet interface as well as within the new snow. S facing slopes were a mixed bag of loose pow, wind scoured, and the occasional wind slab. Overall, the avalanche danger was inconsistent along the entire ridgeline. I found that the snow was more stable in areas closer to Murdock Peak while being more reactive in areas from Dutch Draw to the Monitors.
