Comments
Coverage in Cardiff Bowl looked good from Alta so wanted to get an idea of what the snow pack looked like in anticipation of future storms.
We were hoping that we'd find a mostly consolidated snowpack. That did not happen.
60CM of total snow with 2 notable layers of facets each about 5cm thick are easily found in quick hand pits and in the full pit we dug.
We have another week of no snow so a bit hard to know what we'll have when it does snow. If things don't change much this terrain will warrant caution when we do get new snow and loading.
Snow surfaces were all varieties of terrible with some rock and dirt in the skin track for extra fun.
