Comments
Toured in Cardiff Fork to take a look at snow and coverage on various aspects. Low elevation snow is especially weak due to thin snowpack and recent inversions, mid and high elevation structure is variable but generally a combination of crusts and facets with some old wind board mixed in. Skiing was mostly supportable but broke through to ground on several occasions. Depth up to 60cm depending on aspect/elevation, and snow holding on all but south aspects. Snowpit was dug below cardiac ridge.
