Problem #1 Comments
Very little avalanche activity with the snow already being pretty consolidated during this hot weather. There were a handful of D1 slides that came down from rock bands. Snowpack is becoming saturated with water during the daytime. With the deep overnight refreezes and high daytime temperatures, the snowpack seems to be setting up quite nicely for summer skiing.
Comments
Overnight refreezes the last two nights with temps into the 20s. Warming starts around 0900 and is quickly warming into the 50s-60s range. No cloudcover or wind until Sunday morning where high clouds created greenhousing and were followed by thunderclouds at around 1230. Snowline was at ~9200 ft but is quickly diminishing. About 2' on the ground in the forest and good coverage up high.
