the nice powder on the north facing from a couple of days ago still seemed to exist above about 10k; below that it turned crusty. I think it musta greenhoused or somesuch on Monday afternoon? and then likely happened again after noon with the heat wave? The windslabs up high that I was concerned about on Monday weren't as obvious today, though where I was today was maybe more sheltered from Monday's SW wind.
It was getting a little gooey descending south facing at 11:30; maybe a little late but was helpful for navigating some debris and it wasn't late enough for wetslab activity.
Got a different perspective on the Blue Ice glides. see photo.
Given the pretty mellow weather forecast it seems like we should continue to have decent corn conditions without too much rollerballing and if folks don't ski too late it'll maintain the smoothicity. Powder snobs may have to wait a while?
