Problem #1 Comments
Substantial roller balls and small wet slides observed at 4:45pm on the W facing slope between White Pine and Scottie's. Evidently, the sun had come out this afternoon. I couldn't wring any water from the snow, but this was enough to give me pause and readjust my plans to check out things on the north side of the compass instead. I imagine that with a full bluebird day, anything west to south-facing will be game off come afternoon.

Comments
Dug a handpit 75cm down in a very protected north-facing zone (abundant conifers and a large rockwall guarding cross loading from the West).
The snow was right side up-- 25cm fist, 15cm 4 finger, 30cm 1 finger.
No fracturing nor sluffing on my initial ski cut. This is very dense settled powder that seemed to have bonded well to the old surface.
Riding was excellent, albeit a bit heavy.
