Weather Comments
Mostly cloudy with a few brief periods of sun mixed in and some on again off again light to moderate snow showers. It felt like a bit of winter today with cooler temperatures and some snow that moved in early afternoon. Not much accumulation when I was leaving the Moffit Peak area.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Around 3-4" of snow from last night and early this morning helped to cover a few old tracks, but it was a busy weekend with lots of traffic in the Moffit Peak area. I don't recall seeing this much sled tracks out here, even in the trees riders were getting after it. Hope the storm comes through and freshens things up and keeps adding to the snow pack.

Red Flags Comments
Conditions were starting to change with gusty winds throughout the day and the new snow was easily being blown around and starting to form some wind drifted snow. These should be more widespread and deeper tomorrow with snow and wind tonight.

Increasing Danger
Problem #1 Comments
The wind drifted snow today was not too reactive and only cracking a few inches deep, but the conditions will be different tomorrow if the forecasted storm arrives.
Comments
Today the recent new snow and increasing winds were starting to turn the snow a little slabby and some shallow wind slabs would crack on some steeper small slopes. It will be different tomorrow with some more snow and strong winds to create deeper and more sensitive wind slabs.
Recent storms have been good to the north slope and in the Whitney area there is great coverage and should be good riding well into April.
