Comments
We found great riding on upper elevation, north facing terrain this morning. Blue skies until 10:00 then clouds rolled in and the snow began to greenhouse a bit. East aspects rode well but only had a few inches on top of a hard crust. North facing slopes still held great dry snow.
We had a decent amount of sluffing on steep slopes but it was slow enough you could stay ahead of it. We had a few small wind slabs release around us but they were 5-10 feet wide and only a few inches deep. We did notice one larger slab around 20 feet wide and around a foot deep that was triggered on Friday by snowmobiler. This slab was on a northeast facing, 35-40 degree slope around 9200 feet.
