Snow Characteristics Comments
About 4" at the trailhead. 1" of frozen slush and 3" of medium density snow. 7" was about the deepest it got where we were. Feeling the thick crust on the bottom most turns. When the sun came out briefly it instantly made the snow damp and thick

Comments
There was not as much snow as the snotel showed where we were. Only got to 9600' but still higher than where it showed 10". A little more exposed with a little wind effect and I guess it just didn't hit there as much for some reason.
Didn't see any instabilities where we were but there was a layer of graupel that fell first on the old crust with the new snow on top of it.
