Comments
Overall Low hazard where we were traveling. We found a few wind pockets in upper elevations, but they were unresponsive to stability tests. Wind-sheltered, northerly terrain has soft snow. The firm snowpack is providing excellent travel conditions - whether on sled or skis.
My first time in the Uintas this season and overall was pleased to find a generally stable snowpack. I did find some pockets of faceted snow in exposed rocky terrain, but overall was finding a generally deep and stable snowpack.
