Snow Characteristics Comments
Mondays roughly 4" did help to cover some of the old hard tracks and wind affected snow. Todays mild weather did not change the snow conditions much, the southerly aspects have a crust, the ridge lines and exposed areas have been hit hard from recent winds, but in sheltered areas nice cold dense settled snow offers good riding and turning.
Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
No red flags observed today, the snow pack seems to be adjusting with any old wind drifts generally non reactive to a person.

Wind Drifted Snow

Problem #1 Comments
Although I did not get any wind drifts to react to my stomping around on them, cannot rule out an isolated slab that might be lingering on steep exposed slopes that have been getting strong winds this week.
Comments
Along the exposed ridge lines that mainly face north through east, all I could get to happen is some chunks of drifted to snow to tumble down the slope with no results.
The few inches of snow that fell on Monday did help to cover some old tracks and freshen things up some, but we are ready for a nice re-set. Hopefully this weekends storm will add several inches?
Thought a picture of one of the smaller cornices that grow in the Uintas.
