Comments
An early morning trip in the Greaseball area of Argenta resulted in many shallow slabs with one stepping down 10-12" and around 20-30 feet wide. Due to the nature of the terrain, the slabs triggered were pulling out in small pockets and very manageable but enough to keep you on your toes as they traveled fast and far. The debris from the biggest slide ran out into the gully below Greaseball covering old tracks.
Portions of upper Argentas old tracks had been blown in by the overnight winds which seemed to make the snow a bit more stiff and slabby compared to what I was seeing earlier this week.
While there is still plenty of soft snow on the shady aspects, most of the descent was mediocre due to the underlying crust.
