Comments
Most wide spread cracking I have seen in a while, not must activity on the existing up track, but as soon as I stared by first line around noon I had cracks appearing all around me on the entire lap, not enough new snow yet to get a cohesive slab moving but enough for a major wake up call. Second lap we looked at the edge of George's/Low Ivory, cracks were already present before touching slope, skied 25-30 slopes down, cracking every turn often fifty feet around and below. Dumas was mucking about in his snowcat making things even more interesting. On the third up climb noted a sluff had buried one switch back. Third lap from the ridge, center bowl I was used to the massive cracking and it was weirdly fun, though we kept the angles below 30 degrees. Storm rolled in with a major punch on that lap and decided it was time to get out of there. Not enough new snow yet so sluffing and cracking were manageable. Took a few photo's but due to visability issues they are not worth much.
