Weather Comments
Pleasant day to be in the mountains. Chilly start led to temps in the upper 20s/low 30s F down low by mid-afternoon. Clear skies, sunshine, and light winds with higher wind speeds at the ridgeline.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Surface conditions similar to yesterday (20200208); that is to say, crusty. Consequently, didn't see any wind transport, at least at the low and mid elevations where we hung out. Colder temps meant a thicker crust this morning, as well as plenty of surface hoar on top. With the exception of the most sun exposed slopes, the surface hoar was large enough to persist into the afternoon despite sun and light wind today.
Comments
A couple snaps of the low and mid elevation crusts (respectively); note surface hoar visible atop the low elevation crust. Many thanks to my wonderful model, A.J.
