Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
New Snow
Comments
I got out this afternoon to find 4 inches of new snow with 2 inches falling in the afternoon. East faces have a light crust from this weeks heat while dense lose exists underneath our new snow on the north half of the compass. I was able to initiate two long running sluffs with ski cuts above however with 6 inches or less of new snow to work with there really wasn't any danger today. I tried kicking several cornices but they were all setup very hard now.
