Today was a pretty calm day in the Uintas with our medium density snow now setup up providing go anywhere snow. Although not a threat today, overnight surface hoar grew on all upper elevation aspects that I was in. North faces skied loud from top to bottom providing evidence of the weak layer presence. With luck we'll have a pre-frontal winds before our next storm covers up the surface hoar however if the next storm rolls in cold and gentle we'll have a buried weak layer that will require diligent investigation before skiing anything in the mid-thirties. The first picture in the batch was taken of my sled track from yesterday around 11:00 am.
