Decreasing Danger
Problem #1 Comments
Old wind drifts noted from 8000' to 10,200'. Large cornices developing even on mid-elevation slopes. We found wind drifted snow 8"-12" deep. The slab was easy to provoke just by stepping above the skin track but we did not see any wind drifted avalanches activity in the area. The NW Face of Box looked thin and wind effected.
