Comments
I found a mixed bag of conditions today. A thin crust formed from Thursday's sun which is covered up by 6 inches of snow from Friday. In wind scoured terrain this crust is sitting on top. There is an abundance of newly formed wind slabs on and near the ridge lines where wind is prevalent. Un-effected snow can be found just about anywhere below the ridges. Cornices have built up quite a bit this last week. My last photo is from yesterday and shows a cornice that had previously fractured off but did not roll down the slope. These fractures are now covered up with new snow and require some hunting to find.
