Went to take a quick look at the weak layer that formed just before New Years. I last looked at it 5 days ago. We go unbelievably consistent test scores on this layer of ECTP 5 to 15 in EVERY pit we dug on Jan 9th.
Due to time and weather, I only had a chance to dig a a few spots and couldn't look for avalanches or other signs of instability.
Intial results were promising today. Scores were in the low 20s which is up. This layer is likely healing but still propagating across the whole column. I won't trust it just yet, but maybe soon.
