On the windward slopes the snow was wind buffed. Moderate winds were unable to pick up and move any snow.
On the protected slopes I saw a lot of surface hoar.

Noticed multiple areas where the weak layer collapsed on low angle terrain. Wind was blowing on the ridges but not transporting snow Warm air temps near 40 degrees F and clear skies. Seemed as if the snow has settled a lot and felt very good under the snowmobile. very good traction.

East facing slope at 8700 ft is a good example of the wind slab to avoid today.
there are a few soft sluff slides on the lookers left side of this photo
