Beautiful weather, and visibility. Scattered cloud coverage, the sun came out around 2:30p.

Snow presented wind affect at ridge lines around 8600'. Although it had not created wind slabs yet. Generally a wide-spread surface hoar, sizing between 3-8mm. Riding conditions were low-density powder, even at lower elevations, both in exposed, and sheltered areas.

On todays tour, we traveled on North-West, and North-East facing slopes. On both aspects we witnessed a very similar snow profile. We identified a persistent weak layer between the Thanksgiving snow fall, and October snow fall between 25-28 cm from the ground. Consisting of 2 mm facets.
