Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Wind Drifted Snow
Problem #1 Comments
There were storm slab wind loaded slides at the top of Bridge canyon. It must have happened during the past storm before the last four inches fell. More stubborn now as I tried unsuccessfully to reproduce it.
Comments
A pit at 7300ft. found consolidated snow with no depth hoar. 100cm total snow pack
The snow pack below 7600 ft. seems quite cohesive and stable. No faceted snow at this elevation. The only issue seems to be wind loading as seen in the photos.
