Snow Characteristics Comments
cold overnights and shallow layer of new snow (4' in this area) are faceting the new snow making for great hero skiing, but could be a concern with this weeks storms. Zipper MF crust on just about all aspects from warm temps this last week grows thicker as you move around to more easterly aspects, the new snow sitting on top is faceted with surface hoar forming

Comments
Skiing is still excellent with remarkably good coverage for this early in the year, overall pack is strengthening and consolidating over basal facets, new snow over MF crust may be next player during incoming storm if significant snow accumulates.
