Poor Snowpack Structure
Red Flags Comments
Nothing noted but continued poor structure. Very minor sluffing in the recent storm snow.
Comments
General snowpack structure has the recent settled 8" storm snow of graupel and other slightly weakening pps above either the pre-frontal 2" hard wind crust or 1" sun crust. East-southeast presented as decent structure with some 4F+ facets beneath a deeper crust, see below. Mostly academic in nature.
Avalanches with the upcoming storm likely at new/old interface or within storm snow, possibly gouging to old crusts and potentially stepping down to old snow facets; particularly on repeater paths.
