Digging pit on east side of Twin Lakes pass just under the ridgeline to test UAC hypothesis. Found weak layer to be at ground level, and experienced what sounded to be a propogating "womp". Was unable to complete PCT due to stability concerns, therefore abandoned the project. Entire ridge sounded like it wanted to go.
