Comments
Went up Cutler Ridge today to the top of the divide. Turntable snow on northerly slopes above 7300 feet. Adventurous below that.
Dug a pit around 8500 on Baileys just below the cliff band. CT 23 result at the interface between the most recent storm and older snow. About 6 inch soft slab with low quality shear. Couldn’t get anything else deeper to react. Slope at the pit was right at 35 degrees. 100 cm total depth Baileys skied pretty nice. Also got a slab to kick loose after a whole lot of work (jumping and stomping). This was on a 40 degree slope north facing. About 6 inch Not very big and didn’t propagate. A few chunks slid down the slope. Seemed to be the same layer that reacted in pit. There was some depth hoar at the ground, I could not get a result on it.
