11cm of new low density storm snow from Dec 5th storm on top of 60cm of consolidated Thanksgiving day snow above 34cm of old rotten October snow consisting of 2-4mm facets. Poor snow structure. Persistent weak layer at 34cm from ground.

Persistent weak layer exists at the Thanksgiving Storm snow and old October snow interface on NW slopes. This layer is reactive and has the propensity to propagate. Remote triggering this layer is possible in areas where the old October snow remained. Northerly slopes above 7000'.
