Comments
Toured Point Supreme and Rocky Point the last three days, this is an update to my ob from Sunday 11/24.
Short tour as I was concerned to get out of LCC before the storm made a mess of the road. An inch or two of new on the summer road when I started at 10 am. Light snow during the tour maybe another two inches. Winds had been at it overnight drifting small amounts of snow here and there. Mild gusts moving a bit but not much snow during the day Monday. Some minor cracking of isolated wind pockets in various places nothing concerning in the moment but a sign of things to come. The path on Rocky Point I highlighted in my 11/24 ob had just a small amount of loading, not enough to avalanche at noon when I was there. Danger during the day until my exit at 1pm was low.
Germ Pass station had winds gusting above 20 mph between 1pm and 4pm while the Collins snowstake reported 2 inches new.
NWS CC forecast is 80% 3 to 6 inches 20% 7 to 9 inches overnight; with 9000 ft ridges gusting to 30 and 11000 ft ridges gusting to 35.
If wind and snow is on the upper end of forecast danger will be a solid considerable. Wind and snow at the low end of the forecast the danger will be moderate even low.
