Poor Snowpack Structure
Comments
Highlighting weak snow structure that exists on mid and upper elevation aspects facing west through east, but most evident on northwest through northeast aspects. Weakest snow is a layer of facets underneath temperature crust sitting below the 10-15 cms (4-6") of Wednesday's storm snow. (Mark White noted the same thing in his usual excellent observation from Cardiac Ridge on 11/23) although there is plenty of weak snow throughout our thin snowpack.
