Snow Characteristics Comments
The 18 plus inches from yesterday settled out to about a foot of medium density, surfy snow, damp but not exceeding on S facing exit at 2pm, all lower elevations were beyond damp.
Comments
The density inversion in this terrain had settled out by afternoon yesterday in my opinion, you couldn’t buy a sluff or soft slab on the steepest of slopes. It stayed cold and cloudy at least until our exit at 2pm . The NE at 10000ft remained dry and cold. Dry snow on high N might make it through tomorrow and the next day.
