The series of small storms the last few days have slowly added up to about 10-12" on the north slope around 9,500'. The snow conditions have greatly improved at least in sheltered areas. I did not get into much high elevation terrain today.
This location does not see many riders, but wanted to see what the snow looked like about mid canyon along Hwy 150 on the north slope. Nothing but large grained faceted sugary snow as seen below the crystal card. In this location there was not much of a consolidated slab, so the hazard was low. Thin and rocky terrain is a likely place to find this type of snow pack set up.
