Buried weak layer is still a low probability/high consequence problem. Will be interesting to see how the storm over the weekend affects this problem.

Comments
Nice settled, soft snow above 8500 ft. Saw isolated patches of surface hoar between 8000-8300 ft. Settlement cones on the top of Pink Pine ridge line. Near surface facets were widespread on east facing aspects around 8800-9000ft.
