Scary moderate is right! Performed ECT test on W/NW facing slope at 9,600 ft. Resistant planar fracture on tap 20. Fracture was a massive 115 cm slab failing on weak November snow about 50 cm from the bed surface, and certainly fits what the avalanche forecast has been the past couple of days. Low probability/high risk, certainly something to keep an eye on throughout the season. Wind picked up after 12:00 PM but had not significantly affected the test slope when we dug our pit.

Snow was a bit chunky throughout the Hallway/Tube area, but overall was fun skiing. Quite a few tracks in both the Hallway and Tube, we saw 3 other parties while we were booting up. Plenty of protection from wind and solar factors in the couloir itself.
