Increasing Danger
Problem #1 Comments
Slides continue to be triggered in shallow rocky areas where the snow pack has remained thin and each snow and wind event adds more stress.
Comments
Visibility was fairly limited today, but may have spotted a recent avalanche on the north side of Gold Hill. There is a rocky area in this location that typically has weak sugary snow and this slope is often times triggered from the bottom. Debris will usually stack up on a bench making for a bad terrain trap.
Good snow conditions, but visibility was somewhat limited today.
