Skied a westish facing line off top of High Pockets. A bit shocked at how weak and shallow the snow was. Easy pole and unfortunately ski penetration to the ground. Much different than what was found on similiar aspects and elevation on Raymond 2 days ago. Can't imagine all the difference was due to weather the last 48 hours. It will be interesting to see what happens if we ever get a good storm.
