We experienced a collapse and shooting cracks skinning near the base of upper scotties on a NE facing slope @9600 or so. Out of curiosity we dug a pit and found the snowpack to be much thinner in this area than expected for the aspect and elevation in upper LCC. HS 75 cm, fairly strong slab going from 4 finger to 1 finger above 10 cm of basal facets. Didn’t measure the slope angle of our pit, but guessing around 25 degrees. ECTX, although after the test we pried on it and had a Q2 shear that came out with surprising energy.
