Early signs of wind loading. With winds picking up from the west as this new storm blows in, would imagine seeing an increase of wind slabs on east facing aspects.
Gusts became stronger around 1:00 pm, moving small amounts of snow. These amounts should increase over night.
Comments
Overall the snow pack looked great, giving us no signs of danger throughout the day. Dug a pit on a small NE facing slope around 7000ft. Snow pack was right side up, showing no signs of a persistent layer, got to the ground around 4ft.
South facing snow warmed up throughout the day allowing some soft turns, powder in shaded areas skied great!
