Comments
With little or no wind, last nights storm dropped 4 inches of dry snow. Our newly created wind slabs are now hiding under perfect snow. I dug down to the ground up high today and found our facets being uncooperative with the ECT block sliding off into the pit on 22 degree terrain 80cm below the surface on the 28th tap. That 30 cm above the ground which is all of our snow since Thanksgiving. While pulling out one side of the ECT block I observed a planar fracture midway within the new snow but this layer was unreactive on the ECT block. I observed sporadic collapsing throughout the day.
