I got up relatively high today and dug in some low angle 20 degree trees on the north north half of the compass. My ECT failed after 9 wrist taps on facets above the rain crust about 25 cm above the ground. I felt the block would have pulled out had I been on steeper terrain but on 20 degrees it was resistant planar. The snow pack was very noisy today on the north half of the compass with widespread collapsing.
