8 to 10" of VERY low density snow. At one location I measured 8.5" of snow and .35" of H2O. That comes out to 3% density if I remember how to do the math.

Old snow from October is very faceted on slopes that are still holding any snow from that early storm.

Under the new snow, the old snow from early October is quite faceted and sugary. Not what we want to see as a base layer. The good news is that this is only really a problem on due north facing slopes above about 9700' at this time. We will reassess the conditions again prior to the next significant storm which looks to be at least a week away.
