Comments
En route from Alta Guard to top of Cardiff pass, my colleagues and I saw rapid warming, roller balls, and a few cornices on South aspects. The snow was a melt freeze slush and was overall good but very sticky. I recommend getting out into terrain early and leaving early. Snow was saturated in SE facing aspects and was bearable at an elevation running from 10000 to 9650 on SSW aspects. At about 12:30, at a lower elevation, just above Alta Guard, snow was unbearably sticky, leading to a few close calls with tomahawking.
