Pit 1 NE 9100'.ect negative. X. 195 cm deep. Weak layer 60 cm down, 10cm below dirt layer. Depth hoar on bottom damp. Pit 2 9800' also northeast. Below a small cliff but fairly deep. 155cm deep, weak layer at 95 cm or 60cm down. Similar structure as lower but depth hoar was dry. Ran 2 ECT here. First failed on hit 12 q1 clean shear but may have damaged the column slightly during shoveling. second ect run full propigation. hit 23. Q1. Also ran PST 53/100 q2. Very light wind, heating not to bad, cloudy but I left at 1pm. Small Pockets of decent snow hard to find. Faceting above 10000. Tons of aggro lines seen/successfuly ridden, but The persistent weak layer/deep slab issue is probably alive and well imo in area toured. This is the most dangerous year I have seen. Ive been pretty lucky making a few inconsistent/bad decisions this year. Gonna dial it back, meadow skip, rest of year- maby accepting some very small consequence avalanche terrain. If I am unable I'm gonna bench myself for the rest of the year
