Comments

I got out early this morning and headed up to Hoyt Peak for a quick look. There was an average of 15" of new medium slightly upside-down snow. I was able to remotely trigger a small cornice drop as I was passing by (safely out of it's way). I also collapsed the new snow on a rollover from above. Finally, I sluffed out the right flank off the peak in the typical spot (45+ dead north >10K). Seems the new snow is bonding fairly well. That said I certainly didn't ski off the peak. I kept in the tight trees which skied great.
