We spent new years at the Bloomington canyon yurt. Temps were mild when we arrived on Friday 12/29/17 with calm winds. Saturday was overcast and very windy. Snow was blowing in the skin track between laps. Sunday was clear calm and cold with temps in the mid to low 20's. New years day was cold and calm.

The snow was soft of Friday with a little wind buff. During the night the winds were strong and we woke up to most snow being wind damaged. Wind crust and wind buff were wide spread on most aspects and even in some tree sheltered terrain.

Still getting collapsing and cracking. Snow devils and blowing snow were visible most of the day Saturday. Snow sounded hollow on wind crusts and sometimes would even collapse.
