Noticed some cracking on a few test slopes on northwest aspects on the walk out. Wind loading and cornice formation was apparent on the ridge lines from christmas storm.

pit on NE aspect at 9500 ft, slope angle was 20 degrees, 75 cm snowpack depth. top 30cm was pretty cohesive and gaining strength. Below the top 30 cm was a thin crust with facets below it all the way to the ground. CT tests result was CT4 Q2 with failure 5 to 10 cm from ground. Second CT result was CT 7 Q2, with failure at the same depth. ECT test result was ECTP 14 Q2.
